INFORMATION FOR PRESENTERS

ORAL SESSIONS: ICIDN-2015

Dates: December 16 and 17, 2015
Time: Exact time is in the program page. (It will also be included in the Program/Abstract book.)
Venue: Conference Centre
Guidelines for Oral preparation: Please prepare your talk according to the following guidelines.
(A) Presentation time (including Q & A):
        (a) Tutorial lecture (TL): 45 minutes
        (b) Keynote Lecture (KL): 30 minutes
        (c) Invited Lecture (IL): 20 minutes
        (d) Oral presentations (OP): 10-15 minutes
(B) Format:
        PowerPoint: Microsoft Power point slides
        Wording:
                (1) Use appropriate grammar and spelling.
                (2) Use active, not passive, verbs.
                (3) Use phrases instead of sentences as much as possible.
                (4) Use bullets.
                (5) Don’t overwhelm the reader with too much information.
                (6) Avoid visual chaos that distracts the reader.
        Graphics:
                (1) Use figures, diagrams,or tables to explain/illustrate ideas or findings.
                (2) Avoid background graphics that make the text difficult to read.
                (3) Use plenty of white space.
                (4) Use large enough graphs, charts to be read easily from a distance of at least 5 feet.
        Color:
                (1)The no. of colors should be limited to create an overall theme for the presentation.
                (2) Use a light colored background with black or dark colored text printed.
                (3) Avoid dark backgrounds with white letters.
        Fonts:
                (1) Do not use ALL CAPS.
                (2) Use Arial Font for heading/title & Time New Roman font for body text.
                (3) All types should be a minimum font size of 18, preferably bigger.

Please provide a soft copy of your final presentation to the organizer (at the allocated desk in the conference venue) at least 1 hour prior to your presentation schedule.

POSTER SESSIONS: ICIDN-2015

Time: 16:40-18:40 (Dec 16, 2015)
Venue: Conference Centre
Guidelines for Poster preparation : A poster should be a concise, visually pleasing, illustration of your works. Avoid visual clutter/chaos. Use a logical structure that guides the reader along the main points from beginning to end. Please prepare your poster according to the following guidelines.
(A) Poster Size : 80 cm (width) and 110 cm (height)
(B) Logos in Poster : You may put logos of your institution/university in your poster. If you plan to use the logo of the conference, please make sure to get approval from the organizer.
(C) Sections : The sections of a Poster should include:
HEADING SECTION:
(1) Title of the poster.
(2) Author(s) of the poster: mention author name as First name followed by Surname; please underline the name of presenter (if there are more than one authors) and mark asterisk (*) on corresponding author.
(3) Affiliation(s) of the authors: department/college/university/institution including city and country.
MAIN TEXT/BODY:
(1)Abstract (optional if the poster is too short and concise): not more than 300 words including key words and spaces.
(2)Introduction: Background information including objectives, justification /rationale.
(3)Experimental design: Materials and methodology.
(4)Results: Findings of your study; Relevant photographs, chart, data (if any) that supports your findings.
(5)Discussion & Conclusion.
(6)Implications: The implications of your research for policy makers, health care practitioners, educators etc.
(7)Acknowledgements (if any)
(D) Format:
